Le moment juste avant. L’instant, la seconde qui s’étire à l’infini. La conscience soudaine. Free Fall veut saisir cet instant. L’instant où tout est encore possible. Mais aussi l’instant à partir duquel le choix est fait. L’album a fixé cet instant.

Le saut dans le vide, c'est celui du manifeste, de la filiation, la "dédication" à une histoire et une tradition musicale. L'humilité devant le "Monument" et le lègue collossal d'une musique aux racines profondes et aux branches vigoureuses.

L'enregistrement a été réalisé sur deux journées, sans post prod, Christophe, Bruno et Stefano dans la même pièce, et presque intégralement avec un seul micro. Un vieux micro français à ruban.
