Reflected Headlights in our eyes Hurtling forward Into our demise Good-mannered Silence in the air We’ll go down like captains Politeness cross to bear Stuck in the middle I’m too young for this Even if I Die a little less Hush broken Diplomatically Gives me a future Well-bred identity Tread with caution Weigh every word Inoffensive Apprehensive Hide your needs Lock them inside Decline help Erase yourself Good manners Complex circuitry It’s hard to defuse them They’re hard-wired into me Pulled punches I know them all too well It’s time to make waves Raise a fist and yell

Miracles 04:42
I used to find miracles in Every corner of my world Then gradually they faded away Leaving life demystified Information streaming at the Speed of light at my fingertips Every question answered but Where do miracles hide? In your joie de vivre, The sound of your laughter In your dancing feet, Your questions and answers You make each new day Lyrical and You restore my faith in Miracles Out of breath, feeling over- Saturated and disillusioned Time to stop and smell the roses And inhale life’s miracles You are a miracle

Rabbit Hole 05:25
Olympic head-first dive and then It’s down the rabbit hole I go again An endless maze to navigate Through darkness in a wired, hypnotic state I’m suffocating, overwhelmed And feel the weight of being underground I inch my way and chart the land Oblivious to the clock’s ticking hands Then suddenly the light of day Has pierced the darkness showing me the way A breath of air, a coffee break Then dive back in and make my great escape Raise my chin Close my eyes Take a breath Dive inside Here I go Endless maze Navigate Underground Great escape Rabbit hole

Some Of Us 03:11
Some of us are early birds Tryin’ to catch the worm Some are feelin’ crack of dawn Midnight oil burned A random group of strangers Full range of human natures Some of us call all the shots With iron fists Some of us obedient as Puppeteering wrists Jam-packed we stand together An underground adventure Some have spent a sleepless night Over-active mind Some of us still half-asleep Face the daily grind Urban cohabitation Olfactory sensation Some of us have left the stage Familiar ground Some of us put headphones on Disappear in sound A random group of strangers The range of human natures Jam-packed we stand together Some of us

Help is on its way Help is on its way The news should make my day Instead I run away Help is on its way Help is on its way It’s why most people pray And yet I shy away Help was on its way Help was on its way Pride got in its way Now it’s turned away Life is heavy You’ve got to share the load When there’s help on your doorstep Welcome it with open Arms help carry The weight you drag alone ‘Cause you can’t do it solo Even if you think so Keep your ego At bay like angry dogs When there’s help on your doorstep Open the goddam door Shake hands, embrace The folks that lend a hand ‘Cause you can’t do it solo Even if you think so Help is on its way

Kerchief, white rabbit, the cards that disappear Are just illusions, some good ol’ smoke and mirrors Without a trace they vanish into thin air And leave you wondering if they were ever really there Abracadabra, then as you’re mesmerized They reappear right before your very eyes

The Elephant 05:36
Is it just me Or are we Scratching the Surface here? Hollow words Effervesce, Disappear Seems that we’re Destined to Skate around the Elephant In the room Don’t look him In the eye Elephant an old Silent partner in our fold Daily guest at dinner table Dodging him we’re more than able Permanent fixture in our lives Feeds on unsaid truths and lies Your attention he will pry Just don’t look him in the eye The oxygen’s Getting thin Seems our grey, Oversized, Mutual friend Took his own Lion’s share Now we’re here Shallow breath Crammed in this Tiny cell Side by side Don’t look me In the eye

about

SHED 018

Described as an "enchanting crossroads between cosmic pop and hypnotic jazz", the music of drummer and composer Karl Jannuska is truly original. Born and raised in the Canadian prairies, Karl has been based in Paris, France for over twenty years. He explores the notion of duality in all its forms in this, his seventh album to date. Earthy grooves underline ethereal melodies which feature the warm and cristalline voice of Cynthia Abraham. Acoustic and electric sounds weave together performed by several of France's most in-demand musicians (Tony Paeleman, Christophe Panzani and Pierre Perchaud). Energetic and meditative the two faces of Karl's music live in harmony, inspired by the past while moving forward into a constantly evolving sonorous landscape.
